Hotel Fertel Etoile

Our room was spacious and really nice, and being on the top floor under the roof gave us a cute Parisian view. There was also a large window in the bathroom, which was a lovely bonus. The shower had great pressure and an integrated bath. We appreciated all the extras, like shower caps, cotton buds, and soap, and the air conditioning was amazing. The bed was okay but the pillows were very flat. Reception kindly brought an extra pillow when I asked, and the staff were lovely and accommodating even though we don’t speak French. Breakfast was very basic, and the staff seemed quite rude, though I think the language barrier may have been the reason. It was included in our package, but I wouldn’t pay the €13+ for it separately, especially since hot food costs extra. There were cold meats, chicken and ham, and I made myself a sandwich. The location was perfect, just a few minutes’ walk from the Arc De Triomph, convenience stores, the subway, and Champs-Élysées. We paid under $500 AUD for three nights in August with breakfast, and the stay exceeded our expectations. We’d definitely stay again.
