Hilton Garden Inn Paris La Villette

The staff helped me sort out the public transportation app when I first arrived, which was so kind. Being close to the metro made it easy to get around the city. My room was very clean, and the bed and pillows were heavenly. I loved my three-night stay and would definitely come back.

The hotel has just been refurbished, and my room was perfect, with lots of space for Paris. The bed was a little hard, but the connectivity and shower were great. The coffee machine didn’t work. Breakfast was nice, and the gym was okay, though the key piece of equipment, the multipurpose resistance trainer, was broken. That same machine seems to be broken at every hotel I’ve ever visited. Front desk service varied: some staff didn’t know what services were offered, while others were very helpful. Laundry is a risky choice if you’re in a hurry or on business, as I was. I’d stay again when working in the area, though some things need improvement.

I was here for business during Whisky Live Paris, and the location was a real plus, just a 15-minute walk from La Villette Grand Hall. The Hilton app made check-in and room selection easy. The hotel has a clean, modern look, and Babette Bar worked well for private meetings or evening conversations. Breakfast was decent, though nothing special. Late dining nearby is limited. Most kitchens close by 22:00, and I found just one café open until 01:00, with rather average food, so that’s useful to know. One small improvement would be a coat rack in the entry; there’s only a wardrobe, which is less practical for outerwear. A reliable base for business events at La Villette.

We had to leave a terrible hotel after just one night, so I called Hilton Garden Inn at 8 in the morning as a Hilton Diamond member and explained we needed somewhere to stay. They found us a room within half an hour, even though they were full, and let us check in right away. The room was huge, and everyone was so kind and accommodating. They really rescued our trip, and I’m very grateful.
