Hotel Andrea

The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent for major attractions and connecting subway lines. My room, though, was tiny, stuffy, and had an uncomfortable bed. It also wasn't very clean: the previous guest's trash was still scattered near the bed when I arrived, and there was black mold on the showerhead. Given the room price, I was surprised by its quality.

We had a lovely two-night stay, with friendly staff and great cleanliness. The view from our room was just an elevator shaft, though, and there were a few small things that could be fixed, like the chipped baseboards.

The room was small but okay for one night. The wood floors were fine and the windows opened, but then cigarette smoke came in, even though this is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. The AC didn't work, so it was stuffy and would be unbearable in summer. The keys didn't work either.

Hotel Andrea has a great spot in the Marais, a block from several transport options and only a few blocks from Notre Dame Cathedral. There are dozens of restaurants, shops, and museums nearby, along with all that history. The staff were kind, considerate, and helpful with everything I needed. Breakfast was very nice if you wanted it. My room was a good size, quiet, cleaned daily, and reached by a quiet elevator. The en-suite bathroom was clean, and all the facilities seemed new and worked without problems. The room matched what the website promised, and the high-speed internet worked well. I'd happily stay again and recommend it.
