Hôtel de Crillon A Rosewood Hotel

Dinner at Hôtel de Crillon was unforgettable. The elegant atmosphere captured the sophisticated spirit of Paris, and the dessert choices were especially good, beautifully presented and delicious. It’s a wonderful historic setting for anyone wanting world-class gastronomy.

This is my favorite hotel in Paris. It’s exquisite, with amazing suites, comfortable beds, attentive staff who notice the details, delicious food, and perfect cocktails. The bar has a sexy, moody feel, and the elevators are tiny. If I could give Hotel de Crillon a million stars, I would. It’s expensive, but absolutely worth the experience. I’d recommend staying at least once, even if only for one night. It’s a perfect choice for honeymooners. Celebrities are often there, and paparazzi may be around depending on who’s visiting. For me, life is about having as many great experiences as possible.

Sitting in the courtyard, with the city’s bustle shut out, it’s hard to believe you’re in central Paris. Later, I had drinks at Les Ambassadeurs bar, watching the lights come on through huge windows overlooking Place de la Concorde. The bartender made an old fashioned that could stand up anywhere, with effortless French elegance. Crillon has that quality throughout. Dining is Michelin-level without feeling stiff, and the service is both formal and genuinely caring. They clearly want your stay to be extraordinary and know how to make that happen. The spa is refined and unhurried, and the Karl Lagerfeld suites make a real design statement. The Rosewood renovation kept the historic character while making the place feel current and alive. This address has anchored Place de la Concorde since 1758, and walking in, you feel centuries of history in the marble, crystal, and gold leaf. I’ve stayed at most of Paris’s luxury hotels, including the Ritz, the Bristol, and the George V, and Crillon stands apart. It feels like Paris itself gathered into one building, with all its history, beauty, confidence, and standards. Different league entirely. Paris is always a good idea, and Crillon is the best one.

We wandered into the hotel on a whim to ask if we could have dinner at the restaurant. The welcome was incredible, and the service made the whole evening feel special. William went out of his way to give us a full tour of the hotel and bar, and even stayed late so we could see everything. His kindness and genuine enthusiasm really stuck with us. Dinner was amazing, the drinks were fantastic, and the sole and mashed potatoes were phenomenal. Highly recommend.
