Great location and very polite, nice management. The three-bed room was a decent size by Paris standards, and they cleaned it every day. It was affordable and the floor wasn't carpeted. The elevator wasn't working, but we were only on the second floor.

The neighborhood is amazing, but the hotel wasn't worth the money or the nights. I don't usually leave bad reviews when the price matches the service, but that wasn't the case here. The place didn't look like the photos. It felt old and was starting to look run-down, with wallpaper coming loose and cramped rooms. The bathroom door sometimes got blocked by the toilet, and the radiator control was broken, so I couldn't turn the heat down. Water pressure was very low, and the bathroom pipes smelled awful. For the price, I expected at least a decent breakfast. Instead there were just two small croissants, a yogurt, and a cup of juice, and supplies could run short if you didn't arrive early. There were also bed bugs. I was lucky not to have any in my room, but my colleagues had them in their bed, with a syringe on the floor.

The location was the only good thing. The elevator was out of order, and our room was on the sixth floor. The door was very old, and it felt like anyone could break in. The walls had no sound insulation, so we could hear everything. In the mornings, housekeeping opened the door while we were still inside and asleep. There were no tags to put outside to let them know. The bathroom was another problem: the pipes smelled awful, and keeping the door shut didn't get rid of the stench. Water pressure was so low that rinsing shampoo took forever. The old, moldy shower curtain was disgusting, and after a long day exploring, we didn't even want to shower. I almost never write bad reviews about places I stay, but this time I felt I had to. Book somewhere else and save your health and sanity.

Bed bugs, unfortunately. I wouldn't wish what happened on my worst enemy. The staff refunded the entire stay without question and paid for my laundry, which is why I gave two stars. Another guest was complaining in the morning too and had been bitten quite a bit. They were understandably upset. Afterward I spent a lot of time and money replacing all my luggage, shoes, clothes, and backpack, and washing and drying my clothes on scorching hot settings to sterilize everything. I know hotels struggle with this problem, but it seems kind of out of control here right now. The price was great, but if you book, search the whole room thoroughly for bed bugs.

The location was the saving grace. Being so close to Montmartre was really pleasant, with plenty of good cafes and restaurants nearby and not many crowds in the area. Room service made our bed every day and greeted us whenever we saw them. The bed itself was alright and did the job, though the pillows could have been much better. The elevator was tiny, and when we got to the room we saw a lot of stains on the wall, including one that looked like blood. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. At night there were quite a few crazies around, and they woke us up more than a couple of times.
