Hotel College De France

We stayed in a double room on the 5th floor, with a little balcony and a surprisingly large bathroom for Paris. Breakfast was delicious, and they made eggs or an omelette when asked. The welcome was warm, including a free espresso when I arrived. The quartier latin is a great base, with cafes and restaurants nearby and Notre Dame about a 10 minute walk away. I love this small, traditional hotel style. It feels like the Paris of old. MERCI beaucoup to Yana and the two Monsieurs on night service, such kind hosts.

The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel so well looked after. They were available to help from the time we booked, and the welcome on arrival was lovely. The rooms were spotless, with new furniture and lots of useful things provided, including a shower cap, shaving kit, body lotion, hairdryer, and toothbrush. Breakfast had personal table service, and they serve homemade cakes at least once a week. As a Spanish traveler, I had some doubts about booking a 3-star hotel in Europe, but this one was magnificent. We felt right at home. Highly recommended.

The decor made the hotel feel like a trip to another era, and spending Christmas here with my family was one of the best gifts I’ve given myself. My room was warm, quiet, very clean, and fully equipped. At breakfast, a lovely woman greeted me with a warm smile and asked how I liked my eggs and what coffee I wanted. The fruit salad was a nice extra. The people working here made us feel at home, and whenever I asked where to park nearby or which restaurant to try, they gave me helpful advice right away. I’ve been to Paris 4-5 times, and this is the most welcoming hotel I’ve stayed at. It’ll be my first choice from now on.

The hotel is clean, has a lovely atmosphere, and is in a great spot, just a short walk from Boulevard St-Germain and its many restaurants and coffee shops. After arriving in Paris late, we were glad we’d booked ahead. Our room was on the top floor, and when we opened the window, the Eiffel Tower was there in front of us for the first time. What a treat. I’d highly recommend staying here.
