The hotel is in a lively part of the Latin Quarter, close to several sights and surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and bars. Our Superior Room looked great in the photos, but didn't feel very superior. At the back, it was quiet from the street. The double bed was a small double, and the duvet was kept in the cupboard without a cover. The floor-unit air conditioner was noisy and took up a lot of space. The key card kept failing, which meant repeated trips up and down from the fourth floor whenever we needed to get in. Some staff were better than others, but the service overall didn't improve the experience.

The reception is open around the clock, and the staff helped us with directions for our day tours. I got a very warm welcome when I arrived. My room looked onto the inner courtyard and across to the opposite side. It was spotless, comfortable, and had real Parisian charm. I enjoyed my stay and would happily return. If you need complete silence, it may not be the best choice, but I recommend it. Thanks for the kind hospitality!

Le Jardin du Le Roi next door serves good French food, with generous portions and good quality. The hotel staff were attentive and courteous, and I recommend both the hotel and the restaurant. You're in a lively area with easy access to shops, bars, and restaurants serving food from many cultures as well as authentic French dishes. Two metro stations are within walking distance, and Notre Dame de Paris is just around the corner.

We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel's restaurant, and dinner was one of our favorite meals of the trip, with excellent food and service. The hotel felt cozy as soon as we walked in, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. The rooms were simply furnished and very clean. I wore white socks and they were still spotless when I took them off later. I do wish there were a way to get back the trousers and sweater we left behind. The location is great for walking to many sights, and the Latin Quarter was a lovely cultural experience. The hotel's quaint feel added to it. The elevator was an interesting experience!

For what we paid in that location, the room was pretty much what we expected: basic, old, but functional for two. The bathroom was ridiculously tiny, and the shower curtain kept sticking to you as you showered. The main drawback is noise. The hotel is in one of Paris's most touristic areas, so the noisy-room reviews are accurate, and that's somewhat expected. But the windows could be better made. If you press on the frame with your hand, it instantly gets quieter. If you're okay with the tiny bathroom and aren't a sensitive sleeper, it may be no issue.
