Hôtel du Plat d'Etain

We ended up staying an extra night because our child got sick, and the front desk gentleman kindly let us check in early so our baby could rest. He was very helpful, and we'd happily stay here again. The room was clean and comfortable, with a queen bed and enough space for two adults, a baby, and two American-sized suitcases, though it was small. The shower had strong pressure and got very hot. The elevator is tiny, but we managed. The location was wonderful, and the place seemed popular on a Saturday night. Highly recommend.

There are bars, cafes, markets, and boulangeries right on the block, and several metro stations nearby made it easy to get around. The hotel sits just outside the tourist areas, which we liked. We skipped breakfast because we wanted to try the nearby boulangeries, though it looked delicious. Our family of four spent seven nights in the room without any issues. It was warm, the beds were comfortable, and there was a mini fridge with mini bar items plus free coffee. The bathroom felt luxurious, with a rainfall shower and an adjustable handheld option, both with great pressure. Housekeeping was diligent and meticulous, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We were welcomed warmly and could leave our bags in storage while we explored and waited for the room. Staff spoke English, which helped since our French is basic. If you're North American, expect smaller rooms; the elevator fits just two people without luggage. Those things didn't take away from a seamless stay. We'd definitely recommend Hotel Du Plat d'Etain to anyone visiting Paris.

The hotel's location wasn't the best, but the comfort, service, and affordability more than made up for it. We'll definitely stay again. At our late check-in, a friendly staff member at reception helped us find somewhere for dinner. The rooms were clean, and the queen bed was super comfortable. We could control the air conditioning, and there was a mini bar, coffee machine, and large smart TV. The modern bathroom was clean, with a large walk-in shower and two shower spouts offering a choice of water pressure. Breakfast was a generous buffet with hot food and continental options, served until 11am. Well worth it. We had a wonderful two days at Hotel Du Plat D’ Etain.

We found the hotel well placed, with restaurants, shops, and a metro station all an easy walk away. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and helped with bookings, directions, and reservations. The washrooms and showers were well stocked and really nice. Luggage storage was useful too, since we could leave our big bags in town while traveling elsewhere. There was just one room key, and it had to stay in the room or all the lights would switch off after a while. Still, it was a great experience.
