Hôtel La Folie des Prés - Saint-Germain-des-Prés

The location makes it easy to walk to all the famous landmarks in central Paris. There’s noticeable noise from the metro line underneath the building, but it wasn’t loud enough to disturb our sleep. We found the staff very friendly, and someone was always available at reception. They let us store our luggage before check-in, which was handy. The decor is trendy and gives the small rooms a warm, fun feel. It’s a cute, charming hotel in a historic part of Paris, and getting a room with a street view is a must.

The location made getting around so easy, and the view from my window was gorgeous. Our room had comfy beds and pillows, plus little sweets waiting for us. The luggage lockers came in handy before check-in and after check-out, so I could explore without carrying my bags. The hotel has cute decor and a cozy feel, and the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to lend us umbrellas when it suddenly rained. The air-con was great during the heatwave too. I loved my stay and will definitely come back next time!

(I also reviewed this on TripAdvisor.) I visited Paris during its end-of-summer holiday for the Ascension of Mary, and the city felt all mine. There weren’t many locals around, which made it my favorite time to visit. The staff were very thoughtful and attentive to what guests needed. Booking.com caused a small issue, and I won’t use them again, but Harold and Sabine sorted it out really well. The rooms are tight, but modern, very comfortable, and quiet. For the price, location, and comfort, I was very happy with my choice. I’d recommend the hotel to a younger version of myself.
