Maison Colbert, member of Meliá Collection Notre-Dame

Don’t waste your time booking here. I’d give it -5 stars if I could. If the hotel is anything like its customer service, it’s tragic. I messaged Maison Colbert to move my stay three days earlier. The room rate for the new dates was even cheaper than what I’d paid, but the response was a joke. You spend almost $600 for a weekday room in the lowest season of the year and this is the service you get. Shameful. When confirming your reservation on January 25th, you selected the prepaid rate, which does not allow for any cancellations or changes. The breakfast was a real bright spot, with little things on the buffet and a menu to order from. The cappuccino was especially good, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The location is hard to beat. My room was comfortable and stocked with toiletries, a hair dryer, shaving and dental kits, a vanity kit, shower cap, sewing kit, shoe cleaner, and a steamer. There was no iron, but the steamer worked well, and the safe fit my laptop. I couldn't get the room temperature under control: it was very cold inside, while the bathroom towel warmers were extremely hot even though it was over 30 outside. Other reviews mentioned the same temperature problem, so I took off another star. At first I was very unhappy because my room wasn't ready when I arrived at 5pm. The manager apologized repeatedly and offered a partial refund for the trouble. I appreciated the effort and revised my review to be less negative, though I still deducted a star because the room wasn't ready.

Maison Colbert made our Paris trip feel perfect. Everything about the stay was wonderful, and we'll remember it for a long time. Thank you so much!

We’ve stayed here twice now and would happily choose it again on another Paris visit. The staff are all so pleasant and helpful. It’s a lovely little hotel on a peaceful street, well placed for the Métro and just minutes from Notre Dame.
