Hotel Sophie Germain

The hotel’s location is convenient, and the staff kept my luggage for a few hours and accepted a package for me. My room change request was handled kindly by the host, but the replacement room wasn’t much better. There was a hair in the bathroom, the furniture seemed old and worn, the bedside table had large burn marks, the bathroom walls were damaged, and the TV remote didn’t work. The first room was on the ground floor, facing the reception desk. I could hear the lobby music and guests talking, and the window opened onto the sidewalk, so it was noisy. That setup also felt unusual. For around $200, I was quite disappointed.

A cute, quaint little hotel in the 14th. As a first-time visitor, I liked being in a quiet area close to several train stations. The room was small but had everything needed, and even had beautiful balcony views. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I was mostly spending time around Montparnasse and Alesia, so this location worked perfectly. It’s close to transit and there are lots of rental bikes around. The room was quiet and, during my August visit, the air conditioning was really comfortable. The shower and bathroom were excellent, too. It’s a small, cozy hotel with everything you need if you’ll be out exploring Paris. The staff were friendly, attentive, and fluent in English. I’ll definitely stay here next time I’m in Paris.

We had a lovely stay. The room was small, but the staff were friendly and the location was unbeatable.
