The room was clean and spacious, and the hotel looks nice. Our room had stylish, very minimalist décor, though there wasn’t much space for clothes. We stayed three nights. The bathroom was roomy and the toilet was clean, but some floor tiles were loose and there was red fungus growing on the shower doors. Each time we left, we had to hand in our key. We weren’t sure whether the receptionist kept passport photos or something, but anyone could get the keys back just by naming the room number, with no questions asked. On the first night I got sick, and when my partner asked the receptionist on duty for another blanket, he said there was nothing he could do. The room was terribly cold, and he couldn’t help with the heater either, just told us to use the tiny electric heater in the wardrobe. My partner asked again the next afternoon and was told nothing could be done. At least there are pharmacies and supermarkets nearby. The church across the street rings its bells early in the morning. That’s manageable, but we think there may also be a guest-requested wake-up call that everyone can hear because sound carries so badly. Traffic seemed to pass right beside the bed, as if there were no windows. The bed was made and towels changed each day, but we got no fresh soap during the stay. On the second day our cups disappeared, and none were replaced. Housekeeping starts cleaning well before the 12:00 checkout time, which left us feeling rushed all the time. There are no drink-making basics in the room, no kettle or cups or anything. We bought water at the supermarket on the street instead of paying €2 a bottle at reception. The street is busy, with lots of places serving food and drinks late. The hotel is above a bar, and people sit outside talking loudly deep into the night, so you hear them. We didn’t try the €12 breakfast. We also saw a reception sign quoting €300 per night, while we’d booked online for less than half that. We won’t be back.

The bed was so comfortable that we slept like babies, and our room felt bright thanks to its three big windows. It was roomy and clean, with a large double shower and thick curtains when we wanted to block the light. I adore this little boutique-style hotel, especially its spot near all the bistros, bars, and places to eat. Breakfast cost €12, and I think it should have been included in the room price. Still, we had a perfect stay and would absolutely come back.

We only needed somewhere to shower, leave our bags, and sleep on our last night in Paris, and this simple hotel did the job. The bed was comfortable, and the man at reception was especially kind and helpful, which made a real difference. The neighborhood is a bit away from the tourist area, though it’s busy and there are plenty of things nearby. I’d recommend it if you’re planning to spend most of the day out sightseeing and just need a place to sleep.

The staff were really nice, and for the price, the location made this a good option in Paris. You’re only a few minutes from Bastille and metro stations, with lots of restaurants, bars, and cafés close by. Our room was small, as many Paris hotel rooms are, but it was comfortable. Noise was the main downside: we could hear people in the hallway and in their rooms through the walls, and it could get pretty noisy at night. The renovation work was loud too, especially when it started at 8 AM.

We found the neighborhood good, though the nearby party bars brought noise on Friday and Saturday nights, and you could hear it. Bastille square is close, and the Louvre is about a 30 - 40 min walk away. This is a solid 3 star hotel for resting after busy days out, without extras. Our room was clean and a reasonable size, and it was cleaned every day even though we hadn’t asked for service. The bed was ok, but the shower was small. There was shower gel, soap, and body lotion, but no shampoo or conditioner. We kept forgetting to buy shampoo, so I used the shower gel and it worked fine. The elevator was tiny, just big enough for one person with a bag. Breakfast was humble and more like a snack, with no hot food, but that was ok for us. The lobby was very small, for waiting to check in or out or maybe for a taxi, and there was no bar or other service. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the cold. At night the temperature dropped to 51F, and I had to warm up in a hot shower before bed. Maybe that’s normal in small Paris hotels.
