Breakfast was included every day and was really good. The room was small, but clean and modern. The staff were so kind, warm, and welcoming, and the hotel was lovely.

The lights and lock in my room didn't work, and it wasn't fully clean. It felt a bit shabby, with nasty stains on the bedding, and the staff were ineffective. The neighborhood is charming, but I'd suggest finding somewhere else to stay there.

The quiet atmosphere stood out, and the neighborhood felt safe, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. My room matched the photos, had a charming design, and I liked having the toilet separate from the shower. Cleaning was available each day if requested, and a noon checkout made the last morning less rushed. The service still falls short of what I expect from a four-star hotel. Reception staff were polite and quick to respond, but the welcome lacked warmth. The room had coffee, though I missed basics like a shower cap, cotton pads, ear swabs, and a robe. Other hotels in this category have included those little touches. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. There was no plain yogurt, the cereal seemed low-end, and the baked goods were underwhelming, especially for France. Breakfast also ended at 10 a.m. I saw guests arrive just after closing and be turned away, even though breakfast costs extra and isn't included in the room rate. That feels too early for people on holiday. Bob Hotel has a solid foundation, and some thoughtful service changes could help it live up to its four-star rating.
