It's a lovely place for an afternoon stroll, with a little of old Paris's melancholy still hanging on. Somehow it's also become too commercial, though it's still wonderful to wander around.

The building was constructed on the former gardens of King Charles V and later renovated by architect Gatier. It fits right into the Marais district.

I wasn't impressed. The buildings look straight out of the 80s, and there isn't much choice. I don't really like the place, though that's only my opinion and other people may enjoy it.

Since the historic antique shops left, quite a few small outdoor restaurants have appeared in this otherwise very quiet area. It's a charming place to have lunch, with a good range of cuisines.

I like this neighborhood a lot. It's really nice.
