Eiffel Kensington Hotel

I went to Paris solo and found the room small, but cozy and just right since I didn’t need much space. Everything worked as expected, including the shower, toilet, and sink. The location was convenient, especially for a short stay of a couple of days, when everything being close matters. My room had a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower and the sunrise each morning. I stayed in December last year, had a great experience, and the staff were very nice and encouraged me to ask if I had any questions.

The rooms were what I expected, and the value for money was very good. The staff were really nice, and the hotel is brilliantly located near both the Eiffel Tower and the metro. I stayed for two days and was very happy with the choice. I’m already planning another trip and will definitely book here again.

The only good thing was being near the eiffel tower. We couldn’t stay because the experience was so disappointing. The rooftop is cut off from the rooms, and to reach it you have to go out from the 6th floor. It’s very high up with no fire stairs, and the tiny elevator could be difficult if you’re claustrophobic. The hotel smelled unpleasant, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, the room was very cold, and the hairdryer was broken. The room door was scratched even though we were told it was fireproof. We asked to change rooms, but they said the hotel was full. We had to book somewhere else at 11 PM. We weren’t refunded for the two nights we’d paid, €380, and they charged an extra €15 tax at check-in. We can’t recommend it.

A complete disappointment. Our room was extremely small and dirty, and the so-called double bed was just two single beds pushed together. It felt like they thought we wouldn’t notice. That’s unprofessional and disrespectful. They clearly don’t care about guests or their requests. It seems like people who book through the website get the worst, dirtiest rooms, with no regard for what customers expect. If there isn’t a proper double room available, they should just say so instead of tricking people. I’ll never come back and strongly recommend staying away.
