ibis Budget Paris porte de la Chapelle - Aréna

The staff were the highlight for my family. They were welcoming and helpful from check-in through our daily questions, patiently offering directions, transport advice and help with small requests. The breakfast was another plus: a simple, well-organized buffet with a good selection, especially of drinks, which helped us start the day refreshed. We used ibis Budget Paris Porte de la Chapelle – Aréna as a convenient, affordable base for exploring Paris. The room was clean and functional, but our family room felt tight for three people and our luggage. It’s fine if you’ll be out sightseeing most of the time, though families wanting room to relax may find the space limited.

The hotel is large, but the room was standard, and breakfast didn’t have much variety. It took a 5-10 minute walk to reach the metro. Parking was €20 a day. When I tried to take the car out, the payment machine wasn’t working, so I had to go to the next hotel to pay and lost time. Staff were helpful, though the area around the hotel wasn’t very nice.

It served us well as a stopover, with easy Metro access into the centre. The room was very small, but the shower pod was interesting, and the shower felt more like a mist than a strong spray. Still, it was pleasant enough. We paid £56 a night.

Getting around was easy, with the tram, Metro and bus all close by. Check-in was straightforward, the rooms were clean and tidied every day, and the staff were lovely and had a great sense of humour. One staff member also pointed out some great places for us to visit.
