The front desk staff were helpful and the service was good. But for the price, the rooms felt very average. The pillows were thin and uncomfortable, and the sheets felt like they were made of plastic or maybe paper. The air conditioning in our room buzzed every five minutes and kept us awake, so we had to switch rooms at 1 a.m. I wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms could have been cleaned better, and the beds could be better quality. Still, I enjoyed staying here. The reception team were really nice, and Ishram was especially helpful in getting us settled. The location was good too, near the train station with lots of restaurants around. I'd recommend it.

The location made getting around easy, with trams and the metro nearby, plus a short walk to museums, parks, cafes, restaurants and convenience stores. We had a front-facing room with the windows and shutters open, and it's a busy road outside, so ask for a room on the other side if that might bother you. The room was a good size and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. We got a friendly welcome and a complimentary cake on arrival. Tea and coffee were available at reception, though not in the room.

I picked this hotel for a birthday trip with my daughter because of its location near the zoo and the air conditioning. When we arrived, the bedding was stained, the mattress was torn, and towels from the previous guest were on the bathroom floor. After we'd unpacked, they moved us to another room at 9 p.m., which was the last thing we wanted after a day of travel. I asked about the air conditioning and was told it was broken and not considered a necessary luxury. We barely slept. At 4 a.m. I booked another hotel for £150 for one night, and we left. Since getting back two months ago, I've been trying to get any kind of refund. They say I stayed the whole weekend, even though I have proof that I moved hotels. I hoped to sort it out without leaving a review, but I'm still getting nowhere. Even after acknowledging this review, the hotel hasn't put things right or offered any compensation. I'm still £150 out of pocket from booking another hotel. Please don't stay here if you want to avoid disappointment and terrible service.
