ibis Paris Gare de Lyon Diderot 12th

If you’re arriving late or leaving early from Gare De Lyon, the location works well. The rooms are standard Ibis, but much better than the ones at Ibis-budget, or “Ibis hostel,” as we call them. There are lots of places to eat within a couple of minutes’ walk. Across the street, there’s a great bakery open in the afternoon and early evening, though not in the morning. One thing to know: there are no kettles in the rooms. The machines for hot water and hot drinks are available until midnight, but in the morning they’re off limits unless you pay for Ibis breakfast. That might surprise you if you’ve stayed at other Ibis hotels. You could pay for breakfast there, pick up a croissant the night before and juice from the Carrefour next door, or check out and eat at the station.

The rooms were decent and the price was reasonable. Staff were friendly, and the lobby had games and free hot drinks. They also stored our luggage for two hours after checkout at no charge. A nice atmosphere, and the location was good.

We loved staying here. The rooms were clean and the hotel is very close to Gare de Lyon. Front desk staff gave us great service and were really helpful.

The rooms are quiet, and everyone was polite. They’re compact, but that was expected and didn’t bother me. The downside is that luggage storage after checkout costs extra.
