ibis Paris Maine Montparnasse 14ème

Julio and Fahendy were so helpful. I’d accidentally booked rooms for a month after our actual visit, but they didn’t make me feel bad about it and quickly helped sort things out. They made our visit so much brighter, thank you! The location was good and still walkable from the station. It was quite a long walk, but the road surface was manageable.

The room was small and cramped, and with the hotel’s air conditioning turned off for winter, it got horribly hot and stuffy. I paid what the female receptionist asked for when we arrived. Later, an older white-haired male receptionist shouted at me because the city tax for my 16-year-old hadn’t been paid. I’d told them she was 16 when we arrived, so this was clearly the hotel’s mistake. I had my card ready to pay the difference, but he kept shouting anyway. It was really horrible. I’ll never go back.

Apart from the location, I wouldn’t expect much. The room was old and dirty, and it was in an obscure area away from the lobby. Staff were impolite, and the room wasn’t cleaned. There were very few amenities, not even a kettle. We thought it was an Ibis, but this wasn’t the standard I’d expect from an IBIS hotel. Someone should look into it.

A very nice little hotel on a quiet street, with plenty of small restaurants and bars in the area. The staff were welcoming and friendly from the first moment. It had everything I’d expect from an ibis.
