ibis Paris Place d'Italie 13th

We had a really great stay, with a clean room and super helpful staff. The location has good metro and bus connections, and lots of cozy places to eat nearby, including in Place d’Italie, where there’s also a mall, and on Mouffetard Street, about a 15-minute walk away. One downside was that the window wouldn’t open and the AC wasn’t working. The room was really warm, especially during our stay in the first week of January.

Even though we didn’t speak much French, we got a very friendly welcome. The building was well cared for, and our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with all the essentials we needed. We were impressed by how many power sockets there were and by the spacious bathroom.

The staff were very helpful and kind, and the neighborhood was quiet, safe, and had plenty of choices. The room was nice, and I’d definitely stay again. But the towels are old and should be replaced right away. They should also fix the small problems with the walls, carpets, and shared spaces, and add in-room safes, which are common in three-star hotels now. The staff deserve a raise!

Parking was good, and the staff were friendly. We booked two rooms with single beds but got a large bed instead. It was nice that they put the rooms close together. One room was very hot, and its window wouldn’t open. The man at the desk was new and couldn’t offer a solution. There’s carpet on the room floor, which didn’t seem very hygienic.
