The hotel was very noisy, the air conditioning was broken, and there was nobody at reception. The management’s response was false. I didn’t arrive at 2:00 a.m. I got there late in the afternoon and even had pizza for dinner in the hotel restaurant. There was no delay in getting a response from reception either. They answered right away, rudely, and said they couldn’t do anything about my problem. Management should take more part in the hotel’s day-to-day operations instead of posting false replies to reviews. It’s clear he knows nothing about what’s going on at the hotel. The response was depressing and misleading. He should be ashamed.

It was a great experience overall, and having somewhere to store our luggage was really helpful. I just wish the sink were in the bathroom instead of out in the room. Rooms are already small, as they are in Europe.

We needed breakfast at 4AM because my family had an early flight out of France. I asked at the counter, and the young woman arranged it without hesitation, letting the night shift staff member know. The rooms were cozy, and the hospitality, cleanliness, and comfort were all great. A perfect budget stay. Keep up the good work, staff at Ibis Styles Boulogne!

For the next five days, the staff were friendly, the rooms stayed spotless and cozy, and breakfast was reliably satisfying. It all backed up the welcome we’d felt on arrival. We got there on a Thursday afternoon, bleary and travel-worn after coming from a northern wonderland to the bright heart of the City of Lights. As soon as we stepped inside, someone behind reception greeted us with an easy, warm “bonjour.” It felt like a comforting blanket, and my travel companions and I exchanged a knowing look. We all felt we were in good hands.
