ibis Styles Paris Cadet Lafayette

Breakfast was pleasant, with a good range of juices and pastries alongside a light selection of hot and cold food. There’s also a water dispenser and popcorn machine you can use during the day. I was happy with my first stay in the Ibis Styles format and would return. I spent two days here on a business trip. Like many Paris hotels, the room was small, especially the bathroom, but it was nicely finished with Hans-Grohe fixtures. I liked the folding table, and although my room was next to the lift, the noise didn’t keep me awake.

The hotel was convenient for sightseeing and well located. I had a good stay, and the staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful. There was also an excellent diner at the hotel with plenty of food options. I’ll definitely come again!

The hotel is very close to a metro station, and the street itself is calm. But it didn’t feel like a tourist area, and we had trouble finding restaurants open later at night. Breakfast was okay. The room was too small for two people with large bags. We were on the top floor, where one side of the bed had so little space you couldn’t stand comfortably. The central air conditioning was set to warm, so even with it off and the windows open, the room stayed warmer than we wanted. The bathroom was cramped too, especially the shower, with nowhere to put a bar of soap.

The staff were nice, and the location worked well for us, about an hour from the Eiffel Tower. The walls are really thin, though, and construction started at 7 AM every morning, which made it hard to sleep in.
