The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was nice, and the prices were good. The rooms felt a bit small, and I couldn't lower the air temperature. With the thick blankets, I was sweating at night. I also noticed a few small stains on the blanket. The area around the hotel wasn't especially welcoming.

The staff were excellent, but the rooms were very small. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment, and we arrived to find scaffolding covering the whole facade, work stations and portable toilets outside, and drilling going on constantly. It made for a really disappointing trip. The hotel hadn't told Lastminute.com, so they were still selling stays without warning customers. Neither the hotel website nor Lastminute.com mentioned the work. I raised it with Lastminute.com because I felt important information was being hidden. They said they couldn't understand my concern about the outside and drilling since the inside was okay. I wouldn't advise booking here while this work is going on.

For an ibis-style hotel, it was better than I expected, and the street was quiet. The reception team were professional and, more than anything, friendly. Rooms are small, but clean, with an extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh choices and organic products, and they catered for my gluten intolerance. I also liked the selection of speciality teas and the good coffee. I'd recommend it.

We wanted a more local feel for our first Paris trip, so we picked the Montmarte area. The room was tiny, really more cozy than roomy, but the location was amazing, and breakfast was included.
