Kyriad Paris 13 - Italie Gobelins

The room was the main letdown. We booked a standard room, but it looked nothing like the online photos and was tiny, almost like an attic. There was barely room for one person to stand on either side of the bed. The mattress sagged badly on one side, and we nearly rolled off several times overnight. The toilet area was so cramped I couldn't fully stretch my arms. We could hear people in the next room talking, even with the shower running. The staff were friendly and professional, and housekeeping made the bed and replenished amenities every day. Basic items such as shampoo, body wash, toilet paper, towels, and a hair dryer were provided, as were coffee, tea, and snacks, which were refilled daily. But our kettle was dirty and sandy inside. A vanity kit and shower cap weren't there, and when we asked for slippers, we were told they aren't offered to all guests. The TV only had French channels. Since the hotel has many international guests, English channels would be useful. I chose Hotel Kyriad Paris 13 because I had read it was part of the large, reputable Jin Jiang International group, so I expected a certain standard. For the price and what was shown online, the value just wasn't there. If you're a tourist staying more than a day or two, I'd look for somewhere else in Paris.
