La Reserve Paris Hotel and Spa

We had a Saturday evening reservation and were quickly shown to the cigar room at the back. It’s an elegant, intimate space set up for privacy, and the service was smooth and discreet. The cigar selection is beautifully curated, which the guys will appreciate. For those of us who don’t smoke, the cocktails were excellent in their own right. The room is also well ventilated and opens onto an outdoor terrace.

Our four-night stay was full of management and communication problems. On one evening we put out the Do Not Disturb sign, then approved room service when the hotel messaged us. But when we got back, the room hadn’t been serviced and was still untidy. The concierge couldn’t get us a single restaurant reservation. I know we asked for popular places, but there was no apparent effort and no alternative suggestions. We’d also booked an airport transfer well in advance, but no car was arranged. Even the first evening was frustrating. After check-in, we stopped for a quick coffee at the bar. Despite being hotel guests, we were given the worst table because, the bar manager explained, the others were reserved for outside guests. For a hotel of this caliber, that’s unacceptable. Guests shouldn’t be pushed aside during busy hours for outside reservations. This was my worst stay in Paris so far. I can’t recommend the hotel as accommodation. At best, it might be okay for a quick drink. Nothing more. Zero stars.

The room was clean and well organized, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and very professional. The service was great, from the butler to room service. I noticed they also have a children’s lounge where kids can enjoy themselves.

It’s the kind of place you don’t want to leave. I loved the library, breakfast, hot chocolate, and the magnificent fireplace. I also had an espresso, which came with a sweet. The service was excellent and kind. Breakfast was 35€, and the espresso with its sweet was 12€.
