Le Regent

I arranged a taxi for my airport departure. At the scheduled time the next day, a fake taxi showed up, and the driver demanded double the agreed fare on the way there. I'm disgusted and will never return to this hotel. The driver gave money to the receptionist, by the way. Shame on you!

I had a great stay for almost six nights, using two rooms, a single and a deluxe. The location was excellent, and the front desk staff were so kind and welcoming. I don't know her name, but the woman who checked me in that morning was good-natured and always smiling. Highly recommend.

The location is excellent, but the room was very dirty when we arrived. Check-in was at 3, yet staff told us to go away for an hour and a half and come back while they cleaned it. They were rude and seemed like they couldn't be bothered with us. When we asked to complain, we were told, “you can do that tomorrow.” For the price, that was completely unacceptable and not what I expected in the Saint Germain area. It feels like they're relying on the area to bring in business instead of customer service or value for money. I genuinely wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Notre Dame was only about a six-minute walk, and the Odéon metro stop was even closer, around three or four minutes away. We also walked to the Louvre in roughly 10-15 minutes after leaving our bags with the really attentive host. The neighborhood was lively in the late afternoon and evening, with lots of busy traditional French bistros. Our room was a good size, as was the bathroom, and the walk-in shower was great. We were on the street side, with windows that opened fully, so we could enjoy the fresh air and the atmosphere outside. Great value and lovely service. We’d stay here again.
