Luxury Apartment Paris Vendome

We've stayed at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome three times, and it's a great choice in Paris. It's easy to get a taxi or Uber anywhere, and many sights are walkable, with world-class restaurants and shops nearby. The service is consistently excellent. Everyone we dealt with was professional, well trained, and, by Paris standards at least, friendly and helpful. The rooms are first-rate, with high ceilings, modern lighting and device power, and beautiful modern bathrooms. The furnishings are classic and lovely. The hotel itself looks beautiful, though the decor feels a little bland. Room service food, the in-room coffee and tea bar, laundry, and housekeeping were all outstanding. The restaurants and bar are excellent for food and service, but very expensive even by Paris standards, with a standard cocktail costing 34 Euros. During the day we went to brasseries or bars for cocktails, and most evenings we ate at Michelin rated restaurants outside the hotel. The fitness center is small but well equipped, and the equipment is well maintained.

The property and rooms are beautifully designed, and the location is amazing. It's definitely a five star hotel, though I'm not sure it deserves the “palace” title. The service felt impersonal and lackluster. We ordered pillows and a blanket, but nothing arrived for three hours. I called again, and they showed up about 20 minutes later. It's not a huge deal, but it's not what I'd expect from a hotel this expensive. The spa hot tub wasn't working during our stay, which was disappointing since it's one of the few amenities compared with other palace hotels. They should have told us before arrival or at check-in. The spa staff, though, were amazing and very friendly. These aren't major problems, but when you're paying over $1k a night, those inconveniences are hard to accept.

The welcome was especially lovely, with professional care that also felt sincere and warm. Thanks in particular to Gaëlla for her thoughtfulness and generous smile, to Thomas, and to the other people I met whose names I didn't catch. The hotel has an excellent standard and fully deserves its reputation. Just steps from luxurious Place Vendôme, it's the one to choose. Highly, highly recommended!

The service was unquestionably five star, and everyone we met was fantastically helpful. We ordered breakfast in the room and it was great. The location is excellent, with quick access to lots of great stores. The rooms and spa are a little less impressive than at other five star hotels, but still great. We loved our stay and will definitely come back.
