Marceau Bastille - Gare de Lyon

Breakfast was superb, and we slept really well every night. We asked for a quiet room and got one. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the location and value were very good, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful four-night stay. We travel a lot and can highly recommend it.

The team were exceptionally friendly and always around to answer questions or offer recommendations, so we felt welcome right from the start. Hotel Marceau Bastille is in a pleasant part of Paris near Bastille, with attractions, restaurants, and public transport easy to reach. We also found the breakfast enjoyable, with a good range of quality products. The room and common areas were impeccably clean, and the comfortable, well-equipped room had what we needed to rest after exploring the city. A very positive stay, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, well-located Paris hotel with attentive service.

We had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely return. The location was superb, and although the room wasn’t huge, it was enough for what we needed.

This was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The room was so cramped that if one person sat on the side of the bed, they had to move to let someone else reach the bathroom. We had no bottles of water or shampoo. The windows looked onto a dirty wall, with stagnant garbage in the eavestroughs, and there was no view of Paris at all. They called it a four-star hotel, but we wouldn’t rate it above a two-star motel, and most of those have more space. They also said facecloths were only for the privileged, so none were provided. Coffee in the room was instant, and they asked us to pay $3.50e for regular coffee. The light in our room was broken too. A terrible place. At another hotel on our way in, we were greeted with champagne, they handled our luggage, and breakfast was provided.
