Hôtel Marignan

You can't beat the location or the price, and the room was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed four nights in mid-November and hope to book again on my next Paris trip. The lack of an elevator felt daunting at first, but knowing those stairs were waiting for me every evening helped me feel less guilty about all the food I ate during the day!

After a long day exploring the city, it was lovely to come back to this quiet little oasis. The hotel is on a peaceful street and ideally placed, just a short walk from the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame, and Luxembourg Gardens, among other spots. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the lobby, dining area, and rooms were all clean. We found our room on the sixth floor, and the lack of a lift wasn't a problem for us, though it could be for some. Staff can carry your bags up if you need help. I loved this hotel and would stay here again if I return to Paris.

The staff were so kind and friendly, and the free breakfast was good. Late check-in went smoothly, and I was pleasantly surprised by a small room upgrade that gave me my own bathroom. The hotel is in an excellent spot in the Latin Quarter, on a quiet street. Just keep in mind there are no lifts, so bags may need to go up several flights of stairs. I'd stay again.

My husband and I were celebrating my 50th birthday in Paris when we got stuck after a long day of exploring. Our phone was almost dead, our Metro card and navigation apps were on it, and we were too far from our hotel to walk. The hotel next door wouldn't let us charge it, so we asked at Hotel Marignan. The manager welcomed us in and let us charge the phone before I could even offer to pay. The owner gave us the WiFi without us having to ask. While we waited, his wife came in and chatted with us, then suggested a few Jazz clubs for later in our trip. We weren't guests, but the hospitality felt like a real gift. We'll stay at Hotel Marignan next time we're in Paris. If they treat non-guests like family, imagine staying there as a guest! I also shared the story in the Facebook group Les Frenchies, where many people vouched for their own great experiences. Highly recommend.
