Midnight Hôtel Paris

The area is practical for an overnight stop, with two train stations, Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est, plus metro stations and shops within walking distance. It isn’t especially lively or fancy, though, and there’s not much to do nearby. Rooms are small, but affordable, fairly clean, and modern. One odd policy: you have to leave your room card at reception when you go out, then collect it when you return.

The staff were lovely and helpful. My wife is allergic to duck pillows, so when we asked for different ones, the hotel changed them right away. The room was warm and comfortable, which we appreciated during the snow. From Midnight Hotel it’s easy to reach a hop-on hop-off bus stop, and the Eiffel Tower is about three and a half miles away. An Uber taxi there costs around 15€. We’ll definitely stay again when we return.

We liked the room and its decor, and the soundproofing made it a peaceful place to rest after a day out in the city. The hotel is close to the train station, which made the location great, and the 24-hour reception was useful. We also felt reassured by the security. Once, the receptionist had stepped away briefly and the entrance door was locked. The tricky part was getting our luggage to the sixth floor. The lift only reaches the fifth, so we had to carry everything up a spiral staircase. It wasn’t ideal, but manageable. For a budget-friendly stay in central Paris, this worked well, and we’d return.

It felt like a sweet, warm little nest, and the hotel was spotless. Breakfast was nice, and the service was kind from the moment we arrived. The staff kept looking after us and were ready to help with anything to make the stay good. The location is very convenient, right by the main metro, train, and bus stations. I highly recommend it.
