Millésime Hôtel

It wasn’t cheap, but the hotel was really nice. The room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, and both the air conditioning and the atmosphere were great. It’s a small hotel in a convenient location, in a nice area.

I want to warn visitors about the hotel’s handling of personal data. They said scanning my credit card and ID was required, threatened to cancel my booking if I refused, and stored the scans as plain PDF files on a computer. They wanted a copy of my card including its security number to secure the booking. I suggested terminal preauthorization, which is standard, but they refused and repeated that they could cancel the reservation if I didn’t agree to the scan. I asked for the official policy requiring the scan or for written confirmation, but they wouldn’t provide either and became aggressive. I believe this directly violates several laws, including GDPR. I’ll try reporting it to CNIL, France’s data protection enforcement body.

The Millsime’s service was second to none, and the property itself was fantastic. My wife and I stayed here last month for our honeymoon. Our room was well appointed, and we could easily walk to so many great sights and things to do nearby. Highly recommend. Magnifique!

The central location was quiet, and everyone on staff was professional and friendly. Housekeeping was impeccable. We stayed for a week and were delighted to find champagne waiting on arrival, then treats during the week, including chocolate, candies, and a basket of fruit. Such a lovely touch. Thank you for helping make a wonderful memory.
