Hôtel Monterosa - Astotel

When I mentioned my birthday while booking, the staff surprised me with champagne and chocolates as a gift from the team. That was so kind! The rooms were clean, and the mini fridge was restocked every day. The staff are thoughtful and kind, and the location is great. The price can’t be beat. We’ll certainly stay here again. Absolutely perfect hotel!

The location is excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, well maintained, and cleaned each day. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was very good. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I booked through Airbnb, then realized shortly afterward that I’d chosen the wrong dates. I cancelled almost immediately, well before the stay, and never used the accommodation. The host still refused any refund, despite having plenty of time to reallocate the booking, and keeping the full payment felt completely unreasonable. Things got worse when Airbnb became involved. Instead of engaging constructively, the host later left a review suggesting I’d stayed at the property, which simply isn’t true. That misrepresentation sums up the approach I experienced here. This felt more like dealing with a corporate operator hiding behind rigid policies than a genuine host. I’d strongly advise anyone booking to be comfortable with the cancellation terms and expect little to no flexibility or goodwill if something goes wrong.

There are good bakeries and cafes close to the hotel, which is in a really nice area. The staff were polite and helpful, and it was handy to have cola, juice, and water in the minibar.
