Royal Hotel Paris Champs Elysées

We were a family of five in the connected suite, and it worked perfectly for us. It was quiet and peaceful while still close to everything. The hotel felt warm and cozy, the staff were kind, and breakfast was great. Champs-Élysées was just a three-minute walk away. We loved our stay and would definitely come back. 🤍🌟

The staff were attentive and polite, and took all our requests into account. We felt comfortable from the first day and came away with only good impressions. The room was unusually spacious, clean, new, and genuinely cozy. The location is ideal, with lots of excellent restaurants, cafés, and nice places to walk nearby. We’d be glad to return and can recommend it.

The suite was the highlight of our stay. We were moved here from chateau du flures because of construction noise and got such a warm welcome from the lovely staff. Our bags were already in the room when they told us we’d been upgraded to the Sky Suite, their top two-bedroom rooftop option. It was gorgeous, with wide views over the Paris streets, and since it was my birthday they brought us a bottle of moet on ice and a really good chocolate cake. The two bedrooms were perfect for our group of three, and I’ve never stayed in a more beautiful hotel room. Breakfast service was great, though the pastries weren’t anything special and the yogurt came in a plastic cup. The spa was empty but could have been cleaner and better stocked, and the gym was a mess with old equipment. Still, the upgrade more than made up for the dated facilities, and the champagne helped too. One of the most beautiful rooms in Paris.

The location was excellent, and the room was nice, but a few things didn’t feel anywhere near five-star. There were stains on the toilet seat that wouldn’t come off, which made a poor impression. Check-in was awkward. The receptionist seemed unprofessional and unsure, didn’t make eye contact, help with our bags, invite us to sit, or offer a welcome drink. Our booking included a guaranteed upgrade, but nobody mentioned it. Later, when we called to ask about checking out late, the staff member didn’t ask who we were or greet us properly, and said staying another two or three hours meant paying for an extra night. I’ve never had that happen at a five-star hotel. We also heard noise from outside and inside on several nights, plus drilling at 8 AM one morning. The service felt closer to three-star, so I’ll stay somewhere else next time I’m in Paris.
