Hotel Opera Marigny

The location is good, but I booked two nights and soon started looking for a way to cancel the second and leave. My ground-floor room opened right onto the lobby, and people walking by outside could see in. At 10 pm a large commercial delivery went right past my door. The banging and dropping was so loud that things on the table shook. I went to reception to ask why this was happening at that hour, and the middle-aged man ignored me completely, smiling as if satisfied. I was shocked by how rude, dismissive, and disrespectful he was. I could hear everything from the room, including people going up and down the stairs, when they did it, and what they said. The towels also smelled as if they’d been used. One star only because I couldn’t give zero.

The cozy atmosphere, good price, and especially the helpful, nice staff were real pluses, along with the great location. The downsides were hearing the neighbors, older towels and linens, and a limited breakfast. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could.

I felt safe throughout my three-night stay, and the neighborhood felt safe too. The hotel is close to Opera Garnier. Staff were so nice, the room was clean, and breakfast was great. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The service was so bad, and the whole experience was horrible. This felt more like a hostel than a four-star hotel. Never again.
