Paris Arc de Triomphe Residence

The room service was inefficient and the food quality poor, while maintenance and service were repeatedly unreliable. I expected much better, and the stay was very disappointing. I arrived at 9:00 AM, aware that check-in was at 4:00 PM, so that was fine. Staff said they'd text when the room was ready early, but I never heard from them, not even with a follow-up. There were three separate room service problems. Orders were made through a QR code on the TV, which promised delivery within 30 minutes. The menu was limited and basic, mostly pre-prepared food. On the first night, I waited 1 hour and 10 minutes before calling. They cited staffing problems, and the order arrived after 1 hour and 35 minutes. The second night took 50 minutes, and the food was very poor. On the third night, I called after an hour and was told the order was on its way. Fifteen minutes later they called back to say they didn't even have what I'd ordered. The bathroom sink was clogged, and the shower pressure was extremely weak. I asked for maintenance twice. When they came the second time, they left tools and dirty cloths in the bathroom. That's careless service for any hotel, especially one in this category.

The breakfast buffet had a great range of hot and cold options. My room on the 9th floor was a nice upgrade. It was on the small side, as you'd expect in a big city, but I didn't have any noise at all, despite reports I'd read beforehand. I was a little apprehensive after seeing recent reviews about problems, but that worry didn't last. From check-in to check-out, the staff were courteous and efficient, and welcomed me with a smile. Check-in was quick. I really enjoyed my stay at Le Méridien Paris Arc De Triomphe and would happily return on another Paris trip.

The location is excellent, with easy access to the station and Metro and lots of nearby restaurants. I also appreciated the complimentary Seine river cruise tickets. I loved the trip, and the photos I took on the water still bring back memories of how comfortable and warm the stay felt. I stayed just before Christmas 2024, arriving in bitterly cold, gloomy weather, tired and blown about by the wind. The reception team greeted me with real kindness and courtesy, which made for a warm start to my time in Paris. The gentleman with glasses gave especially impressive service, and I'd be delighted to see his cheerful face again. Everything after that was lovely too. The hotel seems to host plenty of business events, so the lobby and restaurant have a roomy, lively feel. During the festive season, I found that cozy and welcoming. My room was spotless and thoughtfully laid out. I especially liked the hotel's own water bottle, decorated with classic star motifs and the Arc de Triomphe, a nod to its fantastic location. It was stunning, the sort of thing that could hold its own in a high-end gift shop.

The Front Office Manager was pleasant, professional, and accommodating. Dinner was very good, though ordering dessert and getting the check took a while. The servers were delightful and couldn't have been nicer, especially Naba (? Spelling). Our first room felt a bit tight for two, with too little storage for our clothes and bathroom toiletries.
