Peyris Opera Hotel

I stayed four nights in 2023 and loved the spacious, beautifully decorated room and equally impressive bathroom with its bathtub. I'd requested a street-facing balcony, and the Paris view was a highlight. But the room had no mini fridge, coffee maker, or iron and ironing board. I couldn't keep perishable food or drinks cold, and had to go downstairs for coffee or to iron clothes. I originally wanted to return, but those missing amenities made me pick somewhere else for my 2025 Paris stay.

The room was extremely small, so pack your luggage accordingly. It was clean and hygienic, though, and the staff were very friendly. They cleaned the room every day. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the metro, which made it easy to reach places like the Eiffel Tower, Disneyland, Notre Dame, and Shakespeare and Co. The metro was easy to navigate and felt quite safe, contrary to what people often say. The neighborhood around the hotel also felt safe at night and had excellent cafes and restaurants. We booked an airport cab through the hotel. It arrived exactly on time and wasn't overpriced.

It's refreshing to find spacious rooms in Paris after staying in a number of hotels there. The location is convenient, between gare du nord and le Marais, and walkable to the Louvre and other places. Buses and the metro are close too. Breakfast had a good variety, and we appreciated the freshly made scrambled eggs. The well-stocked gym was a big perk, with an impressive range of dumbbells and a great squat rack. I'd definitely stay again.

A fridge and kettle in the room would have made it easier to have drinks there, though both are available in the foyer lounge. That's the only reason I gave four stars. We enjoyed our recent stay and were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's charm. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and went out of their way to help. The amenities, location, space, and cleanliness were all excellent. I'll certainly visit Paris again and stay with Peyris Hotel Opera.
