The area felt somewhat impoverished, and I wouldn’t recommend walking alone at night. You can get into town on foot and catch Metro Line 9 easily. The hotel is cheap and cheerful and has been renovated recently, but still needs some work to make guests more comfortable. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, almost like one on a plane, though the shower itself was good. The reception area had air conditioning, but the units in the rooms didn’t work. I raised this several times, and reception couldn’t explain why. The room was 26°C, making a good night’s sleep impossible. There was very little storage, and a safe would have been useful. Reception staff spoke limited English. Some were pleasant enough, while others came across as abrupt, possibly because of the language barrier.

The reception staff were extremely rude and unwilling to sort out the problem, so we had to leave right away and pay for another hotel ourselves. For the high price and distance from the centre, this was completely unacceptable. We can’t recommend the hotel. Our room looked nothing like the photos. It was tiny, uncomfortable, and in poor condition. There was no soundproofing, and from 7am we could hear every word in the hallway. Renovation work on our floor also started early, with more noise. The window looked out onto rubbish and construction waste, something we hadn’t been warned about. This was a very disappointing stay, not what we expected for a Paris vacation.

The room was at 26°C and far too hot to sleep comfortably. Reception told us the air conditioning was communal and hadn’t been switched on yet, even though the website says rooms have air conditioning. The staff were also a bit rude.

I enjoyed my stay. It’s a budget-friendly option in Paris, and getting around is easy with the nearby transport hubs. They also surprised us with a complimentary cold drink, self-served one afternoon.

There’s an Aldi just two minutes away, shops about ten minutes off, and the metro is 1 km away. You can also take the 115 RATP bus. The location is decent. The rooms are clean, with sheets and towels changed and the room cleaned every day by default. Storage is limited, though, just a small desk and a clothes hanger. A bigger fridge in the lobby would help. It’s fine for what it is.
