Amine at reception knew the area well and was great at suggesting places to go and things to do. He also responded right away whenever we needed help. The rest of the staff were kind too, and room service was excellent. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

The room was surprisingly spacious for a European hotel, and the neighborhood was safe and convenient. But the service left me feeling disrespected throughout much of my stay. I’m Asian-American and can’t say whether race was a factor, but I felt mistreated too many times to keep quiet. My experience in France more generally was also disrespectful, which was upsetting. I traveled alone around Europe, and nowhere else treated me as badly as France did. The younger women working as concierges were especially unpleasant when I asked for help with the metro or dinner reservations. A couple of people were exceptions: the tattooed man at breakfast and the male night concierge were kind. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, even to my Caucasian friends, whom I’m sure would have been treated much better. I’d tell people to spend their hard-earned money somewhere that’s welcoming to everyone and tries to leave visitors with a good impression of Paris and its people. This place didn’t do that for me.

The only reason I’m giving this hotel two stars is its location. We booked a city-view room but got a dark one looking onto an apartment building, with barely any daylight. It was listed as 15 m², though it felt extremely small. The main problem was the air conditioning. We set it to 28°C, but it kept blowing cold air. We reported it several times, and reception kept insisting it was heating. A staff member came to check and tried to tell us it was working, then felt the freezing air and admitted it wasn’t. We were told a technician would arrive “within 1.5 hours,” but nobody came. When we asked to switch rooms, they refused. We ended up asking for an old-fashioned oil radiator to keep warm, in 2025 in central Paris. The man at the front desk made no real effort to help find a solution. In a city like Paris, the hotel can set the tone for the whole trip, and this stay turned what should have been a wonderful visit into a huge disappointment.

The service was great, and the hotel was conveniently close to restaurants, main avenues, and, most importantly for my trip, the Eiffel Tower ❤️. My room was nice, with a comfortable bed and a decent-sized bathroom that had what I needed. I was happy with the stay and didn’t regret choosing it for my first visit to Paris 👌👌.
