It felt safe around the hotel, and the room was clean. The location worked well too: most places were about 25-30 minutes away by subway, while the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame were around 45-50 minutes away. Breakfast was good, with milk, coffee, cheese, yogurt, fruit, cornflakes, croissants, and more. For the price and the area of Paris, it’s good value, and I can recommend it.

The food was awful, with yellow mush and a few green beans each night, powdered mashed potatoes, and a cold, miserable burger. If I’d had the chance, I’d definitely have gone out to eat. The rooms were okay and fairly clean, though having the shower take up the whole bathroom was a bit annoying. The location was pretty good, close to the centre with public transport nearby. For me, it’s a two-star place.

The other things were fine, and breakfast was simple but okay. The room was basic, but good enough for sleeping, especially at a low price. Still, I’ll never come back because of the awful reception staff. We had an issue with a room we’d booked and fully paid for in advance, and the man at reception argued with us for an hour. He kept walking away and leaving us waiting, was mean and dismissive, and his English wasn’t very good. It felt like he hated tourists, even though we were politely just asking for our room. Such a pity, the staff completely ruined our stay.

We slept badly because the room was so cold. The air conditioning kept running and couldn’t be switched off or adjusted, and the receptionist wouldn’t help with the temperature or an extra blanket. I kept waking up from the cold. We’d booked a twin room, expecting two separate beds like the ones in the photos, but were given bunk beds. When we pointed this out, the receptionist blamed us for booking a “cheap room” and offered no help. Breakfast was mediocre, with no healthy choices. The whole experience was disappointing for both comfort and service.
