For a budget stay, it was good value and I'd come back. The rooms are small, but they were clean and that was no problem for me.

I came for a few days to visit my daughter, so I didn't want to spend my energy complaining at reception. Still, I wouldn't call this good value, since a few euros more might get you a better hotel. The bathroom was awkward and unpleasant. The toilet was so close to the wall that sitting properly was difficult. The shower was tiny, the curtain kept touching me and felt disgusting, and I wasn't sure it had been cleaned well. There was nowhere to put shampoo, and water covered the whole bathroom. The sink was clogged, and the bathroom rubbish from the previous guests hadn't been cleared when I arrived. Noise was another problem: the room wasn't soundproof, so you could hear people in the next room, even using the toilet. Outside, the hotel faces a street with very heavy traffic. If taking an Uber or Bolt, walk as far as rue jouffroy d'abbans; the metro is best. Bring earplugs. The receptionist who welcomed me was friendly. But during the night I saw another receptionist arguing with a guest, speaking rudely and practically shouting at her. I could hear it from the second floor, while she continued to speak politely. In the middle of it, I asked for my room key, and he slammed it onto the table while still arguing.

My parents stayed here while visiting Paris and came away with a good impression. The staff were friendly and supportive, helping them plan from before check-in through the stay and suggesting restaurants and cafes. That made them feel comfortable. I saw the low ratings on sites like Booking.com, where I booked, but I think the hotel deserves better. They'd be happy to stay here again. Thank you.

The building is a bit old, which seems pretty typical for a Paris hotel, but the staff were really great. The neighborhood is quiet, with three metro lines not far away, so getting around the city is easy. They also stored our bags before check-in and after check-out. Good stay for the price.
