Superb Apartment Place des Vosges Le Marais

The staff are terrific, warm, cheerful, patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating of our particular breakfast requests. The place is charming and spotless, and the location is generally good. The trouble this time was the excessive heat and lack of AC, along with noise from nearby cafés. With the windows shut it was quiet but hot; open them and there was noise and air. We’ll definitely return in another season.

The room was just what I wanted, including a beautiful casement window. I really enjoyed my stay at this delightful little hotel just off Place des Voges. The service was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect.

The staff were very nice. There was construction across the street, though, and opening the windows made it very noisy. After a 7-day cruise, getting our bags up one flight to the lift was difficult. The elevator doesn’t reach the ground floor, and once we got to it, we found it was very small.

The room had no air conditioning, just a weak ceiling fan that was useless in the heat. I booked this hotel specifically because I’d been told it had AC, and I confirmed that twice, by phone before booking and again at check-in. I have a medical condition that means I physically can’t tolerate high temperatures, so I had to leave immediately and book another hotel at the last minute. I emailed twice to request a full refund and explain what happened, including proof of the other booking. I never got a reply. I found this dishonest and unprofessional, with no care for guests. If comfort, honesty, or basic customer service matter to you, stay far away from this place.
