The small rooms and disappointing breakfast made this feel far below its advertised four-star level. The buffet had only two or three pieces of each item, and there was just one plate set out per guest. If you needed a clean one, you had to ask staff. The bed advertised as a Queen was more like a large single. There was only one set of towels and slippers, despite our double-room booking. The bathroom had no ventilation, and its sliding door didn’t close all the way. For the price, I don’t think this hotel deserves four stars. I’d look at other places before booking.

We left the room tidy and undamaged, but we still haven’t received our 200 Euros caution deposit back. At checkout, the employee said we’d get it after room service cleaned the room. We’ve raised the issue with the hotel through our travel agency, without a refund so far. We were asked for the 200 € deposit as soon as we arrived, which confused us, but we paid it. We can describe the employee in detail and ask the hotel to sort this out. Otherwise, we reserve the right to take legal action. I’d advise guests to refuse the deposit, or better still, avoid the hotel.

After paying the city tax, I was asked for 100 euros in caution money, even though I could pay cash. I’d already paid for the room on Booking.com, so I asked why. The man said it was for the minibar and wouldn’t hand over the key. The Booking.com rules I showed him didn’t mention any deposit. When I said I’d call Booking.com, he acted as if he’d taken card details from my earlier tax payment, then gave me the key. The room I was sent to hadn’t been cleaned and had a champagne box in it. I took a photo and went back to reception, and he gave me another room. I attached the photos. In the room I also saw a notice saying the minibar was included in my price, so I understood they were trying to cheat me. I live in France and speak French well.

The location was great, and the stay wasn’t bad, but room 201 was too small even for one person. I’m not sure I’d come back, since I really needed more space. Sound carried easily from the street, and the elevator was noisy too.
