Hôtel Vacances Bleues Villa Modigliani

We didn't feel our belongings were secure. You don't need a card to get to the rooms by lift or stairs, the front desk isn't positioned to watch the entrance, and staff didn't acknowledge us when we came and went. The ground floor has a restaurant and conference space, so there are lots of people passing through. We stayed just one night and had lost confidence that the hotel could give us a clean room. Our first room smelled slightly of sewage. There was bleach on the toilet seat when we arrived, and after wiping it off we found hairs in a corner of the seat. Reception moved us to another room and specifically double-checked it, but there were hairs on top of and underneath the duvet. They looked like they had shed during cleaning rather than been left by another guest, but it was still disgusting. The rooms weren't clean, with small hairs in several places. The shower itself was good, but the basin had black hand-shaped stains that wouldn't wash away, which was troubling. They provided one all-purpose shower gel and the towels were quite small and thin. We were on the top floor, where a mechanical sound, which we think was separate from the AC, disturbed our sleep. At checkout, reception didn't ask how our stay was. The carpets are mostly black and the hallways are dimly lit.

We could walk to several major sights, and Bus 82 was easy to catch for destinations farther away. There are also lots of great restaurants nearby, and the location is fantastic. Hôtel Villa Modigliani was comfortable and charming, with a peaceful courtyard that was a real treat after a day of sightseeing. Our rooms were comfortable and well kept, and the staff were lovely, welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help. Breakfast was excellent each morning, with plenty of fresh choices. We had a wonderful stay and couldn't fault a thing. Highly recommended.

We had a room issue, but reception staff were very kind and quickly moved us. Alberto deserves a special mention: he was extremely kind and patient, and made sure we were happy. I'd recommend the hotel and definitely stay again. We spent six nights here and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms are spacious and renovated, and there's a nice little garden with armchairs for relaxing. It's well located near lots of restaurants and bars, and a metro station with a direct ride to the city centre.

The staff at the front desk were lovely, breakfast was really, really nice, and the location was superb. I had a blast in Paris and would absolutely stay here again. The room had a comfy bed, decent linen, and a big window that opened fully onto a quiet courtyard. The bathroom was oddly cramped: I'm big and had to sit sideways on the toilet because the wall and door were so close, with the heated towel rail right beside me. A housekeeping contractor also had a small mishap and walked in while I was on the toilet. Since housekeeping is outsourced, I won't hold that against the hotel.
