The view of sacre-coeur was amazing, but street noise continued through the night. The internet kept dropping in the rooms, and there was no high-speed connection. I had to sit in the hall, and reported it several times. The manager said no one had complained about the internet in ten years, so I sent him a picture of the booking page showing its 5 rating, plus speed-test results and photos of HIS TVs failing to load. He blamed my devices. We also moved rooms because of mold in the kitchen, and the first room had a leaking shower pipe. The manager yelled at the front desk clerk on the phone for moving us and was rude and inappropriate. Marcos and the rest of the staff were amazing, and the maids were incredible too. Marcos was professional and very accommodating. I’m sorry they have to deal with the manager. Marcos should be the manager.

Villa Montmartre was cheap for a Paris room with a kitchen, and I’d stay again. The area feels lively, safe, and vibrant. The metro is four or five minutes away and manageable with wheeled suitcases. There’s a Carrefour City mini-supermarket, butcher, and several bakers within two minutes. For breakfast, just walk to a baker and get pastries. Sacre Coeur is best reached by walking ten minutes around the hill to the bottom of the steps or the funicular railway. Coming back is straight downhill. We ate at a simple, very nice African Restaurant about 12-15 doors from the hotel. Huge portions were around 6-7 Euro each. I don’t really like fish, but the Tilapia was incredible. My daughter had chicken and fried plantain, with Fanta bottled in Botswana. I couldn’t see the restaurant’s name on the Google Streetmap photos, but number 52 shows on the walls. The larger apartments are a nice size and even have a dishwasher. Everything was clean and well maintained, with daily housekeeping and bins emptied. There were some downsides: the room could use a table and 3-4 chairs instead of a desk, and the breakfast bar only had two stools. The toilet plumbing smelled bad, possibly from a leaky soil downpipe. The sofa-bed could be better quality, and its covers cleaner. The road and view side isn’t quiet at night, especially with the windows open. I paid a little extra for a large room after seeing complaints about tiny rooms, and the small upgrade for a view was worthwhile because it came with a Balcony.

The studios are clean, well equipped, and quite small, but for the price and location they’re perfectly good. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. These affordable apartments work well for self-catering, with basic facilities and supermarkets a couple of minutes away. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by. Sacre Couer and Montmartre are a short walk, and Gare Du Nord is about 15 minutes away.

The location is the only good thing I can say. The place didn’t match the description: some fixtures and furniture were broken or missing, and it felt unhygienic, old, and overused. There was no room service after the second night. It was extremely loud even at night, and there was no air conditioning, just dirty air from the street. The WiFi was too slow even for a simple video on my phone.

The staff’s welcome, warmth, and hospitality were beyond words. They treated guests with respect and care, and never seemed tired of helping. The place is clean, organized, and good for couples, kids, families, and friends. It’s also ideally located for getting to Sacre Couer and enjoying Paris. Stay a night and you may find yourself wanting to stay for months.
