West-End Hotel

We came back for a second stay, and the updated lobby and room decor look beautiful. Our Junior Suite was large and had a balcony with a small table and chairs. Everything was sparkling clean, and the staff were wonderful. Nothing we asked for was a problem; their English was very good, and the service was attentive and friendly. The location is so convenient, and breakfast was delicious, especially the omelettes. It made being in Paris a pleasure. It isn’t inexpensive, but it costs much less than other hotels in the area while giving you more. I’ll stay again and recommend it to anyone.

Breakfast was a real high point, with plenty of good choices to suit anyone, and it made the mornings better. The room was beautiful, with lovely furniture and decor, and it was kept very clean. Best of all were the staff. They were so kind and helpful, greeting us with a smile at every hour of the day. I’d definitely recommend Hotel West-End to anyone visiting Paris.

The night before my flight to Paris, my passport was stolen. I contacted the hotel right away to ask for a date change, since I couldn’t travel until I got a replacement or temporary passport, or at least some partial credit. I wasn’t asking for a full refund. I offered a formal police report signed by an officer and consulate documents showing this was a genuine emergency, but management wouldn’t accept or acknowledge them. A local friend went to the hotel in person to help explain what had happened and bridge any possible language gap. The staff and management were still dismissive and extremely rude to them. I lost thousands of dollars and didn’t get any empathy from the hotel. To me, they showed no concern for the facts or for guests once they have their money. Travelers should beware: if something goes wrong, this hotel may leave you in the lurch and keep your money. Never stay here.

This is an elegant, beautiful little hotel in an older building, one block from the high-end shopping streets and near the Eiffel Tower. The location is fantastic and the price very affordable. Staff are friendly, speak English, and provide impeccable service. The standard rooms are a bit small, but the bathrooms are huge and luxurious. I definitely recommend it.
