The Latin Quarter location is excellent, with restaurants, cafes, creperies, and shops right outside. It felt safe and not rough, and it's 10 minutes on foot from the Panthéon and 20 from Notre Dame. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there around the clock. We were a family of four with our own room at the back, away from the busy front street, so it was nice and quiet. It could've been noisier with the windows open on the street side. One night, some inconsiderate Spaniards upstairs kept making noise and laughing at people asking them to hush, so I went upstairs in my underwear, pounded on the door, and roared like a madman. They quieted down quickly, and did the same the next night. It's a hostel, so expect bunk beds and cramped quarters. Oddly, there's a shower in the room but no toilet; I'd honestly prefer it the other way around. For late-night bathroom trips, you have to go across the corridor to the shared toilet. We found it quite clean, despite some complaints about that, and the mattresses were firm and good. The bed frames weren't: every time my daughter moved, I woke up, and by the end I slept on the floor. Paris gets hot, and there’s no ventilation, just weak fans that barely help, so you need the windows open. Of course, something bitey got me, probably Paris's one mosquito. Good value for central Paris, safe, and well staffed, but the heat made sleeping difficult.

€3,000 was stolen from me here. Management confirmed on CCTV that a non-guest got into the dorm freely. Even with that security breach acknowledged and a police report filed, they won't compensate me. Safety is zero. Don't stay here.

The reception is fun and lovely, and both the staff and other guests were helpful and respectful. It's safe and in a good spot near a super cute square. Highly recommended for the price, especially for solo female travelers.

On my 24-day Europe tour, I stayed in 10 hostels across 7 countries, and this one was a decent budget option in Paris. It's about a 10-minute walk from Place Monge Metro Station. Staff were friendly, the front desk was open 24/7, daily housekeeping was provided, and key card entry felt secure. The main drawback was the stairs: with no elevator, getting my 25kg luggage up to the 3rd floor was a challenge. Bathroom cleanliness could also be better, maybe 6/10. Works for budget travelers who don't mind stairs and want a good location.
