The location worked well for us, about 10 minutes from the city center and 15 minutes from the beach. But this was one of the most unpleasant stays we’ve ever had. The apartment looks nicely designed, though the materials felt very poor quality and easy to damage. Because of that, the host asked for a 500 euro deposit and checked everything during checkout. Both check-in and checkout felt very burdensome. The payment arrangement was unusual too. We couldn’t pay online through booking as expected, because the host wanted to avoid paying the proper commission to booking. We were only offered cash or a card payment by giving the card number and security code over the phone to another person who processed it. After checkout, we had to block our card. The booking listing showed only one terrace photo, the one with a sea view. In reality, guests in either the superior or standard apartment get a terrace behind the house in a small garden. Linen and towels also cost an extra 25 euros per room.

The manager is lovely 🤩🤩, and the room was spotless, modern, and comfortable, with superb bedding. The bike storage is fantastic too. Breakfast was amazing, so I’ll definitely return!

We had a lovely night here. There was plenty of space for our family in the room, and the bathroom was large. Breakfast was complete and reasonably priced. Our host also gave us great suggestions for restaurants nearby.

The owner gave us excellent restaurant recommendations for the evening, and the welcome was genuinely charming ☺️. The room was clean and well equipped. There’s a fridge and freezer in the common areas, a drying rack in the courtyard, and free parking right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was generous and delicious: cold cuts, eggs, bread, pastries, cake, doughnuts, and unlimited hot and cold drinks. Don’t hesitate, U Fornu is a great place to stay 👍🏻
