My colleague on the first floor had a newly refurbished room and rated it highly. The two of us on the second floor got rooms with much older decor that looked tired and overdue for an update. The ground floor seems to have been done recently and looks stylish and modern. Check-in was friendly and efficient, and breakfast was a good continental one. Good location and staff, but the upper rooms need work.

When we complained about the noise at checkout, after the receptionist asked how our stay had been, she said we should have requested a quiet room. It seems the rooms facing the other side are quiet, so you’d better ask for one. Our room was cramped and very noisy, and I think they should have offered us one away from the street.

The staff were just lovely, the nicest we’ve ever met. Such an amazing place.

Handy spot for central Pau, and the staff are friendly. Some of the facilities could do with servicing.

The rooms are tiny for two people with luggage, and there’s no in-room safe. The shower is spacious and really nice, and the staff are lovely, always ready to help with a big smile. A great spot for a short stay in Pau.
