Zenao Appart'hôtels Strasbourg

We booked through Smartbox in March for a November stay, but at the end of August they emailed to cancel our reservation and give the apartment to someone else. Nowhere did it say that some bookings had priority. They offered no alternative accommodation, putting our whole stay at risk during the Christmas market season. The customer service representative was incredibly rude, offered no solution, and blamed Smartbox, even though they are still a partner. A disastrous experience. Avoid at all costs.

Parking on the street was easy, and the receptionist was kind and helpful. I really enjoyed my two nights at Zenao. The apartments are roomy and comfortable, with good quality bedding and effective soundproofing.

A disastrous experience with Smartbox and this hotel. We booked through Smartbox in March, then in August the hotel asked us to cancel because of "priority stays for seniors." That priority was nowhere on their website. My parents' gift ended with our entire stay in Alsace being canceled. They just keep passing the blame around. What a disgrace. Avoid both Smartbox and this hotel.

We booked through Smartbox for three people, but the arrival was a disaster. Only then did we learn it was a senior living residence, something never mentioned during booking. No one was there to greet us, and the second bed hadn't been made, so we had to sleep without sheets. When we went to reception the next morning for an explanation, we were treated with disdain. They blamed Smartbox instead of taking responsibility or even apologizing, although our booking clearly stated three people. Some basic professionalism and consideration for customers would have helped. I strongly advise against this experience.
