The rooms were actually okay, but they needed to be cleaner. The hotel itself seemed neglected, and reception was a mess with cables everywhere. If breakfast isn't available, don't include it on the booking. There's no food at the hotel!

For a quick overnight stop to break up our journey, we wanted somewhere affordable, and this was a great find just steps from the city center. The neighborhood wasn't especially appealing, but the studio was clean and very well laid out. We especially liked the shared terrace overlooking the old town, surrounded by nature at the foot of the Isle River. It was charming.

We could explore Périgueux and its historic center on foot from this clean, modern, comfortable apartment, which is attached to the hotel. It was excellent value, and the terrace over the Isle River had stunning views of Saint Front Cathedral, with beautiful sunsets over the bell tower.

The location is really the only redeeming feature of this outdated hotel. The building is poorly insulated and doesn't provide comfortable conditions for sleeping. The room was noisy, with no air conditioning or ventilation, and didn't meet the standard. Calling it two stars seems a bit of an exaggeration.
